THE MAN I MET

I met a man in a conference

He had something different to tell

He was having a look at me

And said ‘hey you are pretty to see’

I just could not think of a reply

And just passed a simple smile

And so the conversation began

He then asked me my name

I had a simple reply

This made him a bit rely

He then asked me are you married

I told him how does that matter

He was prompt to respond

With a smile on the face said don’t be shy

There is something I want to tell

If you are not engaged

I would like to propose

I was shocked to see the response

For which I was not prepared

Whether to reply or just say bye

For few minutes I just kept quiet

And suddenly an idea came in my mind

Shall I catch him from another corner

Where he will find difficult to run

So I made a very sad expression

This made him doubt about my decision

I told him yes I was engaged

But something has happened in his life

Which I am not to describe

He has ditched me from his life

And found another lady to be his wife

He too made a sad expression

And said don’t be in depression

I too am a second hand

And my fiancée has so many friends

She too has not yet decided

Whether to marry me or someone else

So let’s wait till time come

In case she really rejects me

Both of us will come in the same category

In that case you can select me

An so the climax came

And then I was thinking what to say

I told him okay you won and I lost

And then both of us laughed
